-Talk to teachers about taking SAT Subject Tests this spring.
-Consider taking Advanced Placement (AP) classes in the fall.

March
-Visit colleges while they’re in session (visit www.collegeboard.com/visits) for tips.
-Plan a summer job/internship/summer class. (visit www.collegeboard.com/visits) for advice.

April
-Study for the spring SAT tests.

May
-Take SAT tests.

-Study for Finals.

-Narrow your college list.
-Gather applications and financial aid information from colleges.


SENIOR YEAR

-Register for fall SAT tests.
-Begin search for college scholarships.
-Search colleges and look for application deadlines.

-Request recommendations from teachers.
-Meet early decision and early action application deadlines.
-Start all other college applications.
-Write your college application essays.

-Send SAT scores online to meet application deadlines -Student and parent sign up for a PIN number at www.pin.ed.gov, for the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) for January.

December
-Check with Registrar (KH 1045) to see that your name is spelled correctly for diplomas.

January
-Complete the FAFSA online before deadlines.
-Send transcripts to colleges.

February
-Apply for financial aid before priority deadlines, to receive the most aid.

March
-Explore majors for college.

May
-Inform counselors of your future plans by completing survey in English class (will appear in Commencement Program).

June
-Study for Finals.
-Send final transcript to your colleges.
-Join the Arts High Alumni Association (see school website).

July
-Notify the financial aid office of your college about any scholarships you’ve been offered.
-Prepare for college in the Fall.
